A small box.
A closer look.

KITT began with a practical question: what can an engine’s exhaust and sound tell us? The prototype captures gas-sensor readings and acoustic snapshots for investigation.

Inside KITT: separate Sensors and Audio rows with green Record, red Stop and yellow Replay buttons, a volume knob and a small display
The actual prototype, including its original hands-on controls.
Record. Stop. Replay.
Separate controls for sensor readings and audio snapshots. Capture a record, then check what you collected.
Take the data with you.
SD storage and file-transfer work are part of the documented development. Current compatibility needs to be checked against each unit.
Ask, then improve.
The new browser guide explains the project and helps frame useful questions. It is not connected to the kit’s live sensors.

The next version starts
with the person using it.

Army maintainers first. Two possible Blue Ridge directions to explore alongside them.

Back to the motor pool.

Army field evaluation

Reintroduce the improved kit through an approved evaluation. Put it in a maintainer’s hands and learn what makes the next job easier.

A practical first step

Pick one unit and one repeatable collection task. Note setup friction, unclear controls and whether the recording is useful. Bring those observations back to the builder before adding features.

Support, delivered.

Blue Ridge PLC concept

A Milwaukee toolbox with diagnostic tools and an AI guide, handed to the onsite PLC technician. A drone could eventually handle the last leg.

How to explore it

Start with a friendly customer, ordinary delivery and a qualified technician. Prove the support workflow first. Then evaluate payload, flight permissions and whether drone delivery actually helps.

The right kit.
The right guidance.

Blue Ridge bearing concept

Matched bearings, suitable tools and equipment-specific coaching for maintenance teams handling appropriate repairs themselves.

How to explore it

Select one suitable repair with Blue Ridge. Confirm the equipment, bearing, tools and approved procedure. Let a qualified customer technician try the kit and record where guidance or shop support is still needed.

PLC and bearing kits are concepts. This prototype does not autonomously diagnose engines, program controllers or authorize repairs.

The most valuable upgrade may be a clearer button, a simpler step, or an idea we haven’t heard yet.

What the assistant knows

KITT’s guide uses curated project facts from development correspondence and the supplied prototype photographs. The complete current manual was not available, so it will ask for missing details rather than invent operating steps.

[prototype] What KITT records. Current project description and inventor’s August 2026 clarification: gas-sensor readings and acoustic snapshots.

[controls] Prototype controls. January 2024 update and supplied photographs. Controls and specifications describe that revision.

[development] Development notes. August 2023 test report, January 2024 prototype update and 2026 file-transfer correspondence. These do not establish diagnostic accuracy or certification.

[army] Army field evaluation. The current proposed evaluation and feedback plan. No Army endorsement or new contract is implied.

[oil] Oil-sampling concept. An October 2026 proposal for discussion, not an installed capability.

[industrial] Blue Ridge concepts. Proposed PLC-support and bearing-assistance kits. Visit Blue Ridge Electric Service.

[assistant] This website. A browser-based OpenAI guide using supplied context, not a specially trained or onboard model. It has no hardware connection.

Chats pass through Vercel and OpenAI. This app does not write conversations to its own database or send them to the inventor. Avoid entering sensitive military, customer or controller information. Use the feedback email when you choose to share an observation.
